First there were BB creams, then CC creams, and now even DD creams! I can’t wait to see the day when ZZ creams are a real thing…
This product was sent to me by BB Cream Boutique for review purposes. Please check out their store because they carry lots of wonderful products! So anyway, today I am reviewing Tony Moly’s Luminous Pure Aura CC Cream. I’ve always stuck to BB cream so I was curious to see the difference.
I am quite fond of the packaging. The dispenser is a pump, which is not only sanitary, but convenient as it measures out the correct amount of product to use. When buying face makeup, it’s pertinent to choose good packaging as well! Products that don’t utilize the pump feature can get unsanitary fast and become a breeding ground for bacteria, which you don’t want to put on your face!
As far as coverage goes, I think my Skin 79 BB Cream works slightly better. I did find that it performs quite well when it comes to reducing redness, as it should, because CC creams are primarily for evening out skin tone. Here are some dark marks left over from past blemishes. The before and after picture shows you how well it covers blemishes. Also notice how well it worked on the sides of my nose where I have the most redness and blackheads. :s
It’s great at brightening my skin and evening the color. However, I think it gets greasy feeling on my T-zone after several hours. If only the coverage was more powerful and didn’t make my skin feel greasy, I would give it a perfect rating. Still, I really like this product so I rate it ★★★★☆! I enjoyed trying this new product. Perhaps I should try every cream until I find the perfect one for me! (Hoping I don’t have to try all the way up to ZZ though haha!)
