Here are some fun, free, and cheap date ideas for you and your honey that won’t break the bank.
PAINT NIGHT AT HOME
Those wine and paint classes are fun, but they’re also really expensive! Even with a Groupon, it still seems overpriced. You can have a do-it-yourself version in the comfort of your own home!
Go to your nearest craft store and buy canvas, paints, and paintbrushes if you don’t already have them. Also make sure you google a coupon before you head to checkout! Stores like Michaels ALWAYS has a coupon available (like 40% off your entire purchase, 50% off the most expensive item, etc.) If you want to get real fancy, you can head to the grocery store and buy some wine, meats, and cheese to enjoy while you’re painting.
Find a comfy space in your home, put on some Bob Ross, and start painting some happy trees.
If you and your boo have a sweet tooth, why not bake something together? Find a recipe you both like on a page like Tasty or Tastemade and follow their video tutorial. Have a cute flour fight (or not lmao), bake some treats, and enjoy your creation together.
My boyfriend and I love to cook and bake together! We try to do new recipes every once a week or two. It’s a fun activity to do together that doesn’t require much money at all.
PICNIC AT THE PARK
Here’s some more cheap date ideas: if it’s looking like it’ll be a beautiful day outside, head over to your favorite spot with a picnic blanket and basket in hand. Fill it with your favorite snacks and spend the day together doing activities you both enjoy, like reading books, playing board games, or watching a movie you saved on your tablet beforehand from Netflix.

Sometimes you just want to go outside! Staying indoors all the time personally makes me feel antsy so every once in a while I like to do something outside of the house. Why not do something outdoorsy for a fun date? Go for a hike on a local trail, catch some waves at the beach, go for a bike ride, etc. Hiking is one of my favorite outdoor activities to do. You can check out All Trails to find a fun hiking trail near you.
