If you’re big on keeping a particular Instagram aesthetic, you may have struggled to find a nice backdrop or Instagram prop for your pictures. I have a quick and easy DIY project for you to take gorgeous shots! You can create your own marble tray for just a few dollars. This DIY is particularly useful for people who take a lot of product shots, like beauty bloggers – and it doubles as a beautiful piece of room decor!
What You Need
This DIY is extremely simple and if you can find the materials for a decent price, you can make this for under $12 like I did! You only need two things for this project: marble contact paper and a box photo frame.

Marble contact paper starts around $8 on Amazon. Here is the cheapest one I could find.
The box photo frame I’m using here was from Target. I believe you can get it for even cheaper from Ikea.
How To Make It
Basically, all you need to do is take apart the photo frame and cover the glass piece in your contact paper. Make sure you use something sturdy like a credit card to scrape out all the air bubbles and make sure it sticks flat to the glass plate.
Then, just put the frame back together and voila! You transformed a plain photo frame into an aesthetic AF tray to hold jewelry, makeup, etc.
The Final Product
Here’s an example of how I’m using my marble tray to take product shots for my Instagram. It creates a beautiful focal point for your photo. I would even add some other props near it like flowers, glitter, whatever you think fits your Instagram feed. Or, you can just keep it plain and simple like I did to have a minimalist look.
Hope this quick and easy Instagram prop DIY was helpful! Now go out there and take some pretty pictures. 🙂
